Proof Research Carbon Pre-Fit Barrel Zermatt TL3/SR3 Short Action 6mm Creedmoor 18" 1:7.5 Twist 5/8-24 Sendero

The Proof Research Carbon Fiber Pre-Fit Barrel for Zermatt TL3 and SR3 Short Action receivers is chambered in 6mm Creedmoor and engineered as a lightweight, match-grade upgrade for precision rifle and hunting applications. This configuration features an 18-inch barrel with a fast 1:7.5 twist rate optimized for stabilizing modern high-ballistic-coefficient 6mm projectiles, delivering exceptional long-range performance in a compact package. Precision 4-groove rifling is designed to provide outstanding bore consistency, controlled fouling characteristics, and repeatable shot-to-shot accuracy. The Sendero contour enhances barrel rigidity and harmonic stability while significantly reducing weight compared to traditional all-steel barrels.

Built around a match-grade steel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, the barrel offers an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, enhanced thermal stability, and minimized point-of-impact shift during heat cycling. Technical features include a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle for compatibility with suppressors and muzzle devices, along with direct-fit compatibility for Zermatt TL3 and SR3 Short Action receivers to simplify installation and maintain consistent headspacing. The compact 18-inch length makes this barrel an excellent option for suppressed precision rifles, lightweight hunting builds, and maneuverable field rifles where premium accuracy and weight savings are essential.

Designed for hunters and precision shooters who demand the highest level of performance, this Proof Research carbon pre-fit barrel combines advanced carbon fiber technology with match-grade craftsmanship to maximize the capabilities of the 6mm Creedmoor cartridge.
