The Proof Research Carbon Fiber Pre-Fit Barrel for Zermatt TL3 and SR3 Long Action platforms is chambered in 7 Backcountry and engineered as a precision drop-in upgrade for lightweight hunting and long-range shooting applications. This configuration features a 20-inch length with a fast 1:8 twist rate optimized for stabilizing modern heavy-for-caliber 7mm projectiles while maximizing the performance potential of the 7 Backcountry cartridge. Precision 5-groove rifling is designed to improve bore consistency, reduce fouling accumulation, and deliver repeatable accuracy across extended firing strings.

Built around a match-grade steel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, the barrel offers an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, improved thermal stability, and reduced point-of-impact shift during heat cycling and sustained firing.
