Proof Research Carbon Pre-Fit Barrel Q The Fix .308 Winchester 16" 1:10 Twist 5/8-24

The Proof Research Carbon Fiber Pre-Fit Barrel for Q The Fix rifles is chambered in .308 Winchester and engineered as a lightweight, precision-focused upgrade for shooters seeking enhanced performance and reduced overall rifle weight. This configuration features a compact 16-inch length with a 1:10 twist rate optimized for stabilizing a broad range of .30 caliber hunting, match, and tactical projectiles. Precision 5-groove rifling is designed to improve bore consistency, reduce fouling accumulation, and deliver repeatable accuracy across extended firing strings. The compact barrel length provides excellent maneuverability while retaining the proven versatility of the .308 Winchester cartridge.

Built around a match-grade steel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, the barrel offers an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, enhanced thermal stability, and reduced point-of-impact shift during heat cycling. Technical features include a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle for suppressor and muzzle device compatibility, an integrated barrel extension, and direct-fit compatibility with Q The Fix rifles for streamlined installation. The carbon fiber construction significantly reduces weight compared to traditional steel barrels, making it an ideal choice for hunting, backcountry use, and lightweight precision rifle applications.

Designed for shooters seeking premium performance and modern barrel technology, this Proof Research pre-fit barrel combines advanced carbon fiber construction with match-grade manufacturing to maximize the capabilities of the Q The Fix platform.
