Proof Research Carbon Pre-Fit Barrel Zermatt Origin 7mm Backcountry 16.5" 1:8 Twist 5/8-24 Sendero

Proof Research Carbon Pre-Fit Barrel Zermatt Origin 7mm Backcountry 16.5" 1:8 Twist 5/8-24 Sendero

The Proof Research Carbon Fiber Pre-Fit Barrel for Zermatt Origin actions is chambered in 7mm Backcountry and engineered as a premium drop-in upgrade for shooters seeking lightweight performance and long-range precision. This configuration features a compact 16.5-inch barrel with a 1:8 twist rate optimized for stabilizing modern high-ballistic-coefficient 7mm projectiles while maximizing the efficiency of the 7mm Backcountry cartridge. Precision 5-groove rifling promotes exceptional bore consistency, reduced fouling, and repeatable shot-to-shot accuracy, while the Sendero contour enhances barrel rigidity and harmonic stability without the weight of a traditional steel barrel.

Built around a match-grade stainless steel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, the barrel delivers an outstanding stiffness-to-weight ratio, improved thermal stability, and reduced point-of-impact shift during extended shooting sessions. Technical features include a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle for compatibility with suppressors and muzzle devices, along with direct-fit compatibility for Zermatt Origin actions to simplify installation and maintain consistent headspacing. The compact 16.5-inch length makes this barrel an excellent choice for suppressed hunting rifles, mountain builds, and maneuverable field rifles where reduced weight and premium accuracy are essential.

Designed for hunters and precision shooters who demand uncompromising performance, this Proof Research carbon pre-fit barrel combines advanced carbon fiber technology with match-grade craftsmanship to unlock the full potential of the 7mm Backcountry cartridge.
