The Ruger American Gen II is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC, built for modern long-range hunting and precision applications. This configuration features a 20-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with a 1:8 twist rate optimized for heavy, high-BC 7mm projectiles, paired with a factory-installed radial muzzle brake and threaded muzzle for suppressor or brake compatibility. The barrel utilizes spiral fluting to reduce forward weight while maintaining rigidity and heat dissipation for consistent shot performance.

The Gen II platform incorporates Ruger’s Power Bedding® system to secure the action and free-float the barrel for improved accuracy. Additional technical features include a three-lug bolt with a 70° throw for enhanced scope clearance, Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger (3–5 lb range), detachable box magazine (3-round capacity), and a one-piece Picatinny rail for optic mounting. The adjustable stock system allows length of pull changes from approximately 12"–13.75", while the Cerakote-finished barreled action provides corrosion resistance and durability in field conditions. Weighing approximately 6.5 lbs, this rifle is designed to balance portability with long-range capability.
