The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Tactical is a versatile and user-friendly .22 LR pistol designed for easy maintenance and precision shooting. It features a simple, one-button takedown system that allows the barrel-receiver assembly to tilt up and off the grip frame without tools, enabling quick field-stripping and proper chamber-to-muzzle cleaning. The pistol is equipped with a cold hammer-forged barrel, ensuring ultra-precise rifling for exceptional accuracy and long service life. Its 1/2"-28 threaded barrel comes with a thread protector, allowing for the attachment of popular muzzle accessories. The precision-molded polymer grip frame includes a serrated front strap and checkered backstrap for a comfortable, secure hold, complemented by checkered 1911-style grip panels. An internal cylindrical bolt construction maintains permanent sight-to-barrel alignment, enhancing accuracy beyond that of conventional moving-slide designs. The contoured ejection port and easy-to-grasp bolt ears contribute to reliable operation, while the ergonomic bolt stop and push-button magazine release—positioned conveniently on the left side—offer intuitive handling. The magazine drops free on release for quick reloading, and a magazine disconnect prevents firing without the magazine inserted. The factory-installed Picatinny rail allows easy mounting of optics, and the ambidextrous manual safety can be converted to left-side-only use with an included washer. The pistol comes with two 10-round magazines.
